Wildkogel Card

This card is valid during the summer season, starting from may 23rd until october the 18th.

It provides free access once a day for all family members to:

  • The (nearby) Wildkogelbahnen gondola
  • The swimming pool in Neukirchen
  • The Pinzgauer Lokalbahn, a train on narrow gauge railway, from Krimml to Zell am See.
  • The bus (numbers 670 en 671) from Krimml up to Zell am See.
  • Buggy or stroler (if still available)
  • Participation in the Wildkogel Card-Active program. That means a ton of activities for the young as well as the old. You can go hiking, take part in group trips along with the rangers of the National Park Hohe Tauern, go on biking trips or take up nordic walking. For the little ones there's an entertainment program in which Kogel-Mogel and Kogel-Mia provide all the fun and action.
  • The hiking bus is an excellent service for hikers. The bus picks you up at Neukirchen or Bramberg bus station and takes you to the start of the hiking trail at the Dürnbachtal or the Mühlbachtal and also returns you to where you boarded the bus.

The cart provides free access once a week to:

  • The indoor Kristallbad in Wald im Pinzgau. Opening hours are from 10:00u. (10 am) to 22.00u. (10 pm)
  • The miniature golf park in Neukirchen
  • National Park Museum in Mittersill
  • Museum Bramberg with emeralds and crystals originating from the Habachtal

Skiing in Wildkogel Arena Logo Wildkogel Arena

The skiing region of Neukirchen am Großvenediger and Bramberg am Wildkogel, the Ski-Arena Wildkogel, is a nice and calm winter sports area. The wide slopes are very suited for a beginner, and provide a unique opportunity to get the hang of skiing. Not only does the region offer skiing, snowboarding and langlaufen, it even features Europe's longest rodelbahn!

The area features over 63 kilometers of slopes, most of which are fully covered in snow. The experienced skier can try his or her skills at one of the deep snow routes.

Rodeling

Starting at Wildkogel, the 14 kilometers long rodeling course is opened daily until 10 o'clock in the evening. After a short ride in the Wildkogelbahn you arrive at an altitude of 2300 meters. From then on it's nothing but fun during a 45 minute descent covering a difference in altitude of 1200 meters.

Zillertal Arena

15 minute drive by car of (free) ski bus.

The Zillertal Arena, situated at an altitude of 1470 meters to 2302 meters is an area of 291 hectares that's almost certain to be covered in snow. It has 51 very modern ski lifts. It also features 139 kilometers of pistes, of which 7 kilometers black, 99 kilometers red and 33 kilometers blue, making it the largest skiing area of Zillertal. Endless skiing fun amidst Salzburgerland and Tirol. During spring time, it's skiing in the sun all the way up until april!

The skiing area connects Zell am Ziller in Tirol with Königsleiten and Hochkrimml in the Austrian Salzburgerland.

Skiing in Kitzbühel

Skiing in Kitzbühel

  • 54 ski lifts and 170km. of snow covered slopes.

Starting out in Neukirchen, the area is easily accessible by car or ski bus. The ski lift (Panoramabahn Kitzbühel Alpen) in Mittersill/Hollersbach is also accessible by an 8 minute drive by car. Ever since the use of the 3S-bahn connecting Hahnenkamm/Pengelstein and Jochberg/Resterhöhe, it's possible to cross the entire skiing area both ways; from Aschau to pass Thurn.

Certainty of snow and and well kept ski slopes guarantee an unmatched skiing experience. Especially families will benefit from the wide range of activities nearby.

Skiër during a jump

One of the better known skiing slopes is the 'Hahnenkamm'. It's a steep descent tailored to the experienced skier. The sheer size of the skiing area has lots to offer for the young and the old. Enjoy fun parcs during the day and slide down well lit ski sloped during the night. The rodeling tracks are opened during the day and the evening.
